Dr Virginia ALZINA is a seasoned expert in sustainability with over 28 years of experience, including 18 years in leadership roles such as Managing Director and CEO. She has dedicated her career to advancing environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles, addressing climate change, and leading decarbonization efforts in challenging sectors. Dr Alzina has promoted Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) while implementing cost-reduction strategies and sustainability reporting. Her influence extends across 45 countries, working for the UN, Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) and EmergeVest. Gunter PAULI is an independent Non-Executive Director.  Pauli's entrepreneurial activities span culture, science, politics, business and the environment.  He is also a member of The Club of Rome and has served three years since 2017 as an elected member of the Executive Committee.  Gunter Pauli has served as an advisor for governments in Spain, Argentina and Italy.  He has also worked as an author, notably of The Blue Economy.  He assisted Aurelio Peccei, founder of the Club of Rome from 1979 to 1984, and later wrote a biography about him. Former chairman of Ecover, an ecological detergent company and he is nicknamed the "Steve Jobs of sustainable development" or even the "Che Guevara of biodiversity" or "the apostle of sustainable growth." Gunter was educated at St. Ignatius Loyola, Antwerp, Belgium, and graduated with Honors in Economics and Management (1979). Ken SOMMER is an independent Non-Executive Director with a prosperous career spanning over two decades in the financial services industry, primarily focused on the payments sector. Ken began his career at Citibank, progressing through various roles to become Group CFO. In 2000, he joined Visa International as CFO and there (2000-2008), he served as CEO and Board member for two years; he was CFO for six years (as well as manager of the risk and human resources functions).  Ken led the restructuring efforts that resulted in the transition of the company into Visa Inc. in 2007 and the company going public with an IPO in 2008.  Ken moved from the USA to Luxembourg to join PayPal in 2016 as the Chief Risk Officer for the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region. In 2018 he joined Kneip Communications, a data services company for the asset management industry, as CFO. In both positions, Ken was approved as an Authorized Manager by the Financial Regulator in Luxembourg (¨CSSF¨). Jose Maria FIGUERES was the 42nd President of Costa Rica from 1994 to 1998.  He also served the Minister of Foreign Trade and Minister of Agriculture and Livestock.  After his mandate, he has been involved in global issues such as climate change, sustainable development, and technology.  In 2000, Figueres joined the World Economic Forum in Switzerland. In 2004, he resigned over the undeclared receipt of more than 900,000 US dollars in consultancy fees from the French telecommunications firm Alcatel.  Later, he worked with Concordia 21 in Madrid. Since 2010, he has been Chairman of the Carbon War Room, an independent non-profit organization focused on the global transition to a low-carbon economy. Martina SWART is an independent Non-Executive Director and Board Committee Chair. Swart’s is a strategic advisor with over 25 years international experience in financial services for listed and private companies. Formerly, as a C-Suite executive (CRO, CLO, CGO, CCO), she was responsible for systems and controls, risk management, insurance, governance, company secretariat and ESG inside systemically important banks, broker dealers, investment firms, hedge funds, asset managers, insurance companies, asset managers and payment systems platforms. Martine worked in USA, UK, Europe and Africa. Ms SWART was educated at University of Stellenbosch (SA) where she received a BA Commerce and Law (1994), and a LL.B (1996).  Furthermore, Martina holds the following certificates: Harvard Business School Certification in Remote Working Revolution (2022), New York Bar Association (2003), Illinois Bar Association (2004) and Advocate of the Supreme Court of South-Africa (1997).  She speaks English and Afrikaans while working on Dutch, French and Spanish. She was the youngest recipient of the Royal Institute of British Architects' honorary fellowship, whilst working with Rod Hackney, pioneering the first ISO-certified sustainable lifestyle consultancy in the UK. Mads S. THOMSEN, is an independent Non-Executive Director and is an experienced organisational leader who is passionate about leadership and development.  He is a politician who keen to protect the environment.  Mads leads the international team in the ruling Danish party, Socialdemokratiets, where he organises international cooperation, democratic project and european politics.  He spent three and half years on the board of Socialdemocratiet and has had numerous other public and private board seats.  Mads was educated at Syddansk Universitet - University of Southern Denmark – where he earned a Masters in Political Science, 2003-2009.  He also received a Master of Political Science, World Politics, Southeast Asian Politics from Ramkhamhaeng University, 2007-2008.  Mads speaks four languages: Danish, English, German and Thai.  LinkedIn
